Roman Earrings Crotalia with two pearl pendants, silver and metal replica of the earrings found during the excavations in Pompei, Villa of Oplontis and Stabia, displayed in the Archaeological Museum of Naples.
The Ancient Crotalia Earrings had the pendant consisting of a single pearl, or two, or three which produced a pleasant jingling. Very common type of ancient times jewelry documented in Fayum mummy portraits and also described by Pliny (NH IX 14).
Earrings Crotalia are handmade in ancient tecnique from metal 18K GOLD plated. The wires are Sterling silver.
