These Crotalia three-pendant earrings are a replica in silver and metal of the earrings found during the excavations ofPompeii, in the villa of Oplontis and Stabia.

Historical Curiosities
Ancient Romans, especially high society women, wore earrings to demonstrate their status and sophistication. Jewelry with pendants were symbols of wealth and beauty, often inspired by natural or mythological motifs. The excavations in Pompeii have brought to light numerous similar jewels, testimony to the wealth and taste of the ancient Pompeians.
