Historical Curiosities

The Nike of Samothrace not only symbolizes victory, but also the ingenuity and mastery of Greek art. The original sculpture, almost 5 meters high, was part of a votive monument dedicated to the gods in a sanctuary on the island of Samothrace. The statue is considered a symbol of freedom and strength, often associated with the concept of "divine will" that leads to success. Its discovery was an exceptional event for archaeology, as it offered rare evidence of Hellenistic monumental sculpture.

Maintenance

To best preserve the beauty of your marble sculpture, it is important to look after it carefully. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading or cracking. Clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. If necessary, use a damp cloth with warm water, avoiding aggressive chemicals that could damage the marble surface. Be sure to dry the sculpture well after cleaning to prevent stains or streaks from forming.
