Descrizione

The Basilicaof Santa Chiarais one of the most famous churches in Naples. To make this place even more surprising is the internal cloister with its beautiful majolica tiles, the result of the skill and the quality of Neapolitan craftsmanship.

These panels reproduce marine, rural and mountain landscapes, as well as scenes of life and celebration, depicted in the backs of the benches of the Cloister of Santa Chiara.
The decorations of the famous Neapolitan cloister were created by the "riggiolarians" Donato and Giuseppe Massa based on a design by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro who in 1739
planned the renovation of the entire Angevin monastic complex.
