Historical Curiosities 
"The Kiss" was created between 1907 and 1908, during the "golden period" of Klimt, when the artist used gold leaf as a predominant element in his works. This helped to make the almost two-dimensional image.
 The original painting represents the pinnacle of Klimt's Symbolist style. Klimt's painting style, in fact, becomes rich in symbols and areas of color.
Among his most famous paintings are Judith, The Tree of Life, and Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer.
