This Crescent Lunula Smooth pendant is a reproduction Silver 925 of the ancient jewel used in antiquity.

In the Rome ancient, the bulla was an amulet that was made to wear by one's children throughout their adolescence. Worn around the neck like a medallion, it could be made of different types of material depending on the economic class to which the family belonged. Its main purpose was to protect the child from evil forces and spirits.

The girls were made to wear another type of amulet, the lunula; this was worn until the age of marriage, at which point it was removed, together with the other typical objects of childhood. Worn with long multi-loop gold chains, with crescent bulla (the lunula, gift of Christmas day), wheel or both in the same necklace.
