Historical Curiosities
Red coral has been used since ancient times to make jewelery and amulets. For the Greeks and Romans, it was considered a symbol of protection against the evil eye and was often worn to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits. Furthermore, coral was associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, as it was believed that this material had the power to stimulate love and passion.
The lava stone, for its part, is a reference to the volcanic force of the Italian lands, in particular that of Vesuvius, a symbol of the resilience and power of nature.
Finally, onyx was used in ancient Rome as a protective stone, a talisman against negativity.
