The Tomb of the Diver is an artifact of the funerary art of the Magna Grecia of significant historical-artistic value, one of the very few examples of painting Greek non-vascular figurative. The image of the diver constitutes the internal decoration of the cover slab of a tomb found near Paestum. Man in the act of diving into a stream probably symbolizes the passage from life to death.
