Historical Curiosities
In Greek mythology, Thalia, the first of the nine Muses, was particularly revered for her influence on comedy. and bucolic poetry. Represented the literary arts: it helped artists, poets, actors and intellectuals fueling their imagination. According to tradition, the Muses were daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, and represented divine inspiration for artists and poets.
Thalia is often depicted with a comic mask, a symbol of light theater and entertainment.
