Bas-relief of  Fortune, fragment in terracotta , inspired by the decoration of a lamp of roman art,  I sec. AD, preserved in the Archaeological Museum, Este.   

It represents Fortuna, the winged goddess with  the horn of plenty from which he dispenses gifts to men. In the cult of Fortuna (or Tyche) the reasons of destiny and fertility are united and her famous sanctuary was located in Preneste (present-day Palestrina) to which the entire population of Lazio flocked to ask for answers on the future. 

She is often depicted with ears of corn, a crown but above all with a cornucopia, which is the emblem of abundance, fertility and the complex of goods necessary for life. The goddess was responsible for the fate of the Romans
