Earrings born from the hands of the artisans of Torre del Greco, Half i. The characteristic uniqueness of each single cameo,  given by the hand of the Campanian engravers, is what makes this jewel perfect for making one feel  unique  who wears it. The cameo is a relief made on stone or, as in this case, on a shell.  

The symbolic meaning of this object is vast and changes according to the different historical eras. Even the ancient Romans developed the art of stone engraving. In more recent times, the Cameo was mainly used by wealthy families, who had family portraits engraved on it. It was also often used as  lucky charm.
