This statuette is a three-dimensional reproduction, inspired by Amedeo Modigliani's painting "Woman with the hat" from 1918. The work, crafted and painted by hand, captures the sinuous lines and typical elegance of Modigliani's female portraits. The artist was known for elongated faces and expressive eyes that embody an ethereal and mysterious beauty. 

The statuette depicts Jeanne Hébuterne, the girl of particular beauty, lover, model and muse of the master. The portraits of the woman that the artist made are more than twenty, always with the sinuosity that characterizes Modì's vision.

Historical Curiosities 

The woman protagonist of the painting is the painter, known to all as Noix de coco for the contrast of her dark hair and the paleness of her skin. She met Modigliani at the age of 19 and, despite being hindered by her parents, lived with the artist until his death. Together they went through troubled years in poverty.
