Historical Curiosities
Gian Lorenzo Bernini sculpted "Apollo and Daphne" between 1622 and 1625. The work represents a masterpiece of Italian Baroque, exemplifying the dynamism and emotion typical of the period.
The legend of Apollo and Daphne is one of the most fascinating myths of Greek mythology, narrated in Ovid's "Metamorphoses." Apollo, the god of light and the arts, falls hopelessly in love with Daphne, a nymph of the woods. However, Daphne does not reciprocate Apollo's feelings and, to escape his embrace, asks her father, the river god Peneus, to transform her into a laurel tree.
The sculpture represents the moment when Daphne begins to change, with her hands transforming into branches and her legs into roots, while Apollo looks at her with despair and astonishment.
Maintenance
To keep your marble statue always shining, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical products that could damage the surface.

It is simply stunning and I cannot believe that companies still make such high-quality items...I am flabbergasted and LOVE your merchandise. I own a lot of your products and am so pleased.
Deluso dai tempi molto lunghi per la consegna ottenuta dopo molto solleciti e dopo oltre tre mesi dalla data prevista.
Very happy about the sculpture, craftsmanship quality is high, and the packaging (critical for a marble item) was top class. Well done!
I like it a lot only 2 points 1) It took a long time to arrive 2) when it arrived the base was detached so I had to glue it back together but it went fine thank you
