Historical Facts
The figure of Venus, known as Aphrodite in Greek mythology, has often been depicted in ancient artworks in captivating poses, such as the crouching one, symbolizing grace and eternal beauty. The crouching version of the goddess recalls one of the most famous models of Hellenistic sculpture, often reproduced in the thermal baths of ancient Rome as a symbol of elegance and seduction.
Maintenance
To preserve the beauty of the marble, it is recommended to clean the sculpture with a soft cloth, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight and the use of harsh chemicals. Protection from dust and moisture is essential to keep the piece intact over time.
