Description

Plate in Terracotta with the relief of  Victory  taken from the decoration of Trajan's Column 110–113 d. C., Roma.

There Trajan's column , was erected to celebrate the victory of the emperor Trajan against the Dacians. It is to be considered the first "coclide column" ever built. Inside we can find precisely, a spiral staircase, the cochlea. The engraving on the column shows the events of the war and is made up of 33 sculpted and assembled marble drums. The ornament features the engraving of 150 war episodes and is over 200 meters high.
