Flora is one of the most fascinating figures of Pompeian art, often associated with spring and rebirth. In ancient Rome, she was the goddess of flowers, plants and fertility, and was celebrated with festivals called "Floralia", during which citizens decorated their homes and streets with fresh flowers.
